This is a family of RISC processors, optimised for embedded use in ASICs and FPGAs. They are available as synthesisable cores in Verilog RTL. All three processors have been designed as a family with very similar features :

  • RISC, Load-Store architecture.
  • Von Neumann memory (single memory bus), with support for unaligned memory accesses.
  • Fast Interrupts.
  • Very high code density (leading to low power, low cost and fast execution).
  • SIF debug interface (non-invasive debug while processor is running).
  • GNU compile chain (GCC and Binutils).
  • xIDE software toolkit with interfaces to software instruction simulator and hardware targets (via SIF).
These processors are optimised for low-power, low-cost applications.

You can download the xIDE and GNU software tools for XAP processors from www.CambridgeConsultants.com/ASIC.
After you have installed these tools on your Windows PC, you should send your Hostid to xap@cambridgeconsultants.com for a licence.

µC/OS-II ports

All µC/OS ports can easily be ported to µC/OS-II. If you port µC/OS-II to a processor not listed and want to include your port on this web site, please contact Micrium at Jean.Labrosse@Micrium.com. Note that the ports are provided as is with the exeption of the Micrium ports which are supported by Micrium.

Note that only the PORT is provided and it is assumed that you have the rest of the source for µC/OS-II from the book or the upgrade.
