Power Failsafe File System Brings Improved Data Integrity without Sacrificing Performance
Datalight Inc., leading developer of file systems and flash memory drivers for the Industrial Internet of Things, today announced that its Reliance EdgeTM power failsafe file system is now available pre-ported to Micrium µC/OS-II® and µC/OS-III® real time operating system (RTOS) kernels.
Micrium continues to be the leading provider of commercial RTOSes for embedded designers looking for a software platform to enable their deterministic and connected designs. As more and more of those designs rely on data, the integrity of the file system is becoming critical. Reliance Edge provides the power failsafe performance that is required.
“Micrium customers build products that create and capture critical data,” said Jean Labrosse, CEO of Micrium. “The addition of Datalight’s power fail-safe and transactional file system gives our customers who don’t need FAT compatibility another option to protect that data from unexpected loss due to power failure or other system interruption.”
The newest offering from Datalight, Reliance Edge™, is the only file system that offers power failsafe reliability and deterministic behavior required by today’s autonomous systems, including devices in the rapidly expanding Industrial Internet of Things. Ultra-compact and configurable Reliance Edge works with any block device storage media and has been integrated with device drivers from Micrium for raw NAND, raw NOR, SD/MMC and USB. Reliance Edge for µC/OS-II, µC/OS-III is available directly from Micrium.
