VectorCAST speeds verification and validation time for DO-178B embedded applications
Providence, RI (PRWEB) February 17, 2011
Vector Software, the leading provider of software testing applications for embedded systems, announced today the integration of their VectorCAST product suite with the Micrium μC/OS Real-Time Operating System, broadening its support for the highest safety critical systems including DO-178B, Class III medical devices, and SIL IEC-certified systems.
“We are excited to expand our product by providing our clients with support for Micrium’s µC/OS, RTOS” said Bill McCaffrey, chief operating officer at Vector Software.
Vector Software engineers have interfaced a Micrium µC/OS powered MPC board with both the unit testing (VectorCAST/C++) and system test code coverage tools (VectorCAST/Cover). The environment was based on Freescale’s CodeWarrior compiler. Organizations developing µC/OS applications will use VectorCAST to comply with the DO-178B structural testing requirements.
